The Obstacle That Pointed To Opportunity

Like the Ford assembly line, I could see how this factory method of building could consistently produce superior quality, more comfortable, energy efficient homes, faster and for a lower price.
Michael started looking for a more efficient way to build high quality affordable homes. That’s when he happened upon a modular building. And in particular, Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs).
“Like the Ford assembly line, I could see how this factory method of building could consistently produce superior quality, more comfortable, energy efficient homes, faster and for a lower price,” he recalls. His first project in 2013 proved him right and marked a new era of building in the Bay Area.
“I could see the opportunity,” he said. “But I didn’t like the lack of transparency and inflexible contracts other builders were forcing upon clients.” Unhappy with this lack of control, he founded his own construction company grounded in his values of excellence and integrity.
A Better Way To Build Homes
Michael developed his own approach to combining traditional stick building (where appropriate) with Structural Insulated Panels and Modular Designs. And used a two-phase construction process (structure then finishes) that gave clients full control and flexibility over the construction of their home.
“Our methods are so economical and efficient, many customers find their new homes are valued at double or triple what they cost to construct,” Michael says with a sense of hard-earned pride. Plus they are:
- 25% faster to build (delivering your home months sooner)
- 60% less labour (so you have more leftover for luxuries)
- 20% cheaper (giving you more equity on completion)
- Consistently superior in structure, comfort, and finish
In short, you get a superior quality (more comfortable, energy efficient) home, delivered faster, for less.

The Two P's To Consistent Excellence
An experienced builder can build a good home from time to time. But it takes more to achieve excellence on every project. It takes people and processes.
Commenting about the processes Green Galaxy has, Michael says, “We’ve developed an optimal way to do everything. A workflow that gives the best result, in the shortest time, with the least cost. Every step is monitored by our fastidious supervisor who has never failed an inspection in 45 years.”
And about the people, Michael says, “Finding good staff is one of the biggest challenges in business these days. That’s why we work so hard to keep the best people. How do we do that?
